this is my friend. she was born with a blood disorder, and was sick most of her life. the disorder turned into leukemia. the pictures are from years ago from her "cancer does not define you" album. in the photos she is getting her transplant. she told me that the leukemia cured the blood disorder. (in that strange twist life has). now she is a volunteer for other leukemia patients. she told me it is a part of her healing too. i'm not sharing this to exploit her, but honor how strong and brave i think she is. and how i am proud to know her. she has true beauty inside and out.
